Nathan McElroy

Dr. Nathan McElroy is an Associate Professor in the Chemistry Department specializing in water quality issues and analytical chemistry.

Dr. McElroy received a BS in Chemistry at IUP in 1994, and a PhD in Chemistry at Penn State in 2003. He held a post-baccalaureate fellowship at Battelle Marine Sciences Lab in Sequim, WA in 1995, then worked as a chemist at BASF Agricultural Products Center in Research Triangle Park, NC from 1995-1998. After completing his PhD, he held a post-doctoral position as a computational chemist at AstraZeneca's Centre des Recherches in Reims, France from 2003-2005. He joined the IUP faculty in 2005.
